Loomis rods set the standard by which every rod manufacturer's product is judged. Go to any forum on the Net and you will see guys asking questions like "How does the *insert rod name here* compare to a GL3 or IMX or GLX?". Without a doubt, your equipment can increase your catch rate on the water, but honestly, I think your confidence in your equipment will increase your catch rate even more, regardless of the brand of rod, reel, lure or line you use.
