Underwater Cameras « Thread Started on Apr 27, 2005, 7:00am »
So should the underwater cameras be just for practice or okay during a tournament? I've noticed a few of the opens in Michigan have added a no camera line to their rules. How many of you have run into this in your clubs, circuits, or general opens?
I can't really think of a reason someone shouldn't be able to use it during a tournament if they want to. It's just another step beyond a fishfinder.
If you're trying to find fish with it during a tournament, that may just mean you aren't fishing as much as other competitors. Good anglers will still be good anglers, and not-so-good anglers will still be not-so-good.
i use it always for pre-fishing and have ued it a couple of times in tournaments usually as a last resort. if i'm using it in a tournament it means i'm stinking it up. i will say it helped me during one tournament, i accidentally found a fish crib up on Hubbard Lake. Took 2nd after I found the crib. We will have to see where all of this goes, whether clubs will make a definite ruling or stay on the fence.
