Just wondering how many fishermen on here fish the top bass tourneys?

There's at least 2 or 3. I haven't fished them, but two of my regular fishing partners fished some of them last year and said they enjoyed it.

I've been fishing it for the last two years and it is a real good event. Very well ran. Last one I did had 72 boats on Lobdell lk. Tough launch 1 boat at a time.

Have not fished any top bass tournaments yet. I was looking at fishing the saginaw bay one this year. So far it's the only saginaw bay tournament on opening day.

Hey stackem, do you know what kind of turnout do they get on the Saginaw bay events?

Don't know where the launch is but get there early. They seem to get more boats every tourney.

Top Bass is the primary circuit that I fish. I too have been fishing it the last two years. I agree it is very well run, and a pretty good group of guys that fish it. Pretty competitive.
Stackenem had it right, the last tourny on Lobdell had 72 boats, that is the biggest turnout that I have seen in my two years. It normally ranges from about 40-60 on average I would guess. It all depends when and where the circuit is fishing.
It's very nice to have a circuit going that you don't have to pay membership fees and all that garbage. For the turnout it gets, the pay out is pretty good also.
I have not fished the Saginaw bay tourny with Top Bass the last two years because I did not have a big enough rig to fish the big lake. This year I do, I cannot wait. For that tourny we go out of Hoyle's Marina in Linwood. Very easy to find.
If you got any more questions about this circuit let me know, I will do my best to answer them.

I've fished Top Bass for the last two years, only about 6 tournements though. Very well ran and very well organized. Very competetive and friendly bunch of guys. I'm hoping to fish at least 4 events plus the championship this year. Hooksetter

You can get a flier at BPS in Auburn Hills, next to the fish aquarium. That's the only place that I've seen them, fortunately I get mine mailed to me every year.
It is only a singles tourny circuit.

Got the flier, looks good. I will be a the saginaw bay for sure. How does it work with no non-boaters. Is it just one person per boat? Thanks

Yes you get to fish all by your lonesome.

I was not to sure myself when I started.
I actually like it a lot. No worries about making anyone else happy if the fishing is poor. It does get a little boring sometimes when the fishing is slow, no one to talk and joke with. Overall though it is fine.
People at the launch are always willing to help one another. It is a good bunch of guys. Knock on wood, I have not had a bad experience with anyone from this circuit.

I know someone was asking the distance from hoyles to charity, Lakemaster gave me 36 miles from hoyles to big charity. Does anyone know what won the saginaw bay event last year?
