So many guys have approached me this year who are buying Ranger 521VX bass boats (already or soon). I'm so jealous!
But I did just find out my 10 year old faithful Ranger 492VS will be done and back in a couple weeks or so. I think I have a new Yamaha HPDI 225 waiting for it. Should be a great year!!

My boat is done back at the factory!!!
Now, I just have to get it up here and hang a motor on it, plug in a few things and fill it with tackle/gas/oil and start breaking it in!!!

Good for you Dan. I know what it's like to not have a boat... Hope all goes well, and quickly.

Looks like a long hard road trip next weekend to get it, but I'll quickly forget about it as soon as the first time I'm standing on the front deck making the first cast of the year from the home field advantage.

Hopefully they'll tighten the nuts on the motor mount this time, right?

Naw. I take care of that myself every week. It's the metal actually breaking in the mount which is why I switched motor brands. I haven't heard of any Yamaha's snapping off.

I had a 1999 model 225 Mercury OptiMax that I bought (well, insurance bought anyway) in the late spring of 2000 after I knocked off my old Johnson Limited Edition on a floating tree in Kentucky (on Cumberland).
