This one is for a custom etched beer mug and is multi-part. 1. What is the flexible stringy thing you find on most spinner baits called? 2. Who received the patent for it? 3. What year did she/he get the patent. 4. In what town did this person live. 5. What was the first bait with this flexible stringy thing called? 6. What year was the company founded? 7. What year did this person die?
Ok, surf the web and find the answers. Even Dan doesnt know this one.

Got me stumped I think number 1 is spinner bait skirt. Thats a good start. Once you figure out the correct name for the skirt, you are on your way.

Dont give up, your just a google away. What is another name for the skirt? It was on more than spinner baits, it was also on other lures like poppers, and trailers on crankbaits.

Well I'm not feeling very smart today: It wouldn't be kilt or sarong (both synonyms).
Maybe trailer or teaser?

HOLY SMOKES! They must have a different and better Internet in Canada!!!!! Can't wait to see if the judges (BPACH) rule you got it! If you did, I hope you like the cup. It sounded real cool. I was hoping to see a picture of it someday.

You know how it is Dan, with the cold weather up here we get real good at finding things on the web because it's too cold to do anything else all winter. Actually it only took one article on a regular Microsoft search to get everything except when he died, that took another one but I must admit I didn't have a clue where to start before that little hint. Good question BPACH and thanks for the hint. Brad

You need the seed before an idea can grow. I thought the skirt part was the easiest part. All I know them as is the hula skirt, does everybody else use a different name? "hula skirt lure" run through google will give you both pages that I got my info from.
