Well, Earl Bentz denied he was selling or planning to sell Triton Boats, but today Brunswick Marine announced they bought Triton Boats for an undisclosed amount to add to their line of products that includes Mercury, MotorGuide, Lowe and Lund among many others.
Should be some things to watch over the next year or so...

As a triton boat owner I was dissapointed to hear the news. Triton has been great to me, my experiences with my merc and motorguide have been not so great. Hopefullly with Earl Bentz sticking around, things won't get too bad. It can't be as bad as when they aquired motorguide (they tried to tell me lake erie voided my warranty).

according to the triton website, Triton still wants to offer other motor choices if the other companies will agree... Brunswick is stating it as Triton and Earl Bentz are "joining" with them...we shall see how it all plays out.
