BOAT SHOW?? Dude, you're talking about the ULTIMATE FISHING SHOW at the Novi Expo!!!
Oh man, it's huge!!! (Local saying I think)
If we aren't swamped, I'll swing by with your Daiwa hat I owe you. I'll be there at the Combat Fishing/Xtreme Bass booth either that Saturday or Sunday. I think Wayne has slipped up and penciled my name in for one seminar too.
It may be really crowded at the new place this year, so you can pick me out... just look for the guy with the fishing hat on...

OPPS!!!!!!!! of course, thats what i meant... Ultimate Fishing Show! What i am most excited for is the 'first ever indoor lake" a 100,000 gallon lake which the pros will use to do there seminars. they will actually have a bass boat to operate out of with a fully functional trolling motor so they can cruise around. this is going to be sweet. Looking foward to the combat fishing seminars as well. Who is speaking this year? besides you and wayne, will dave be there again? Cant wait. hoping to sell my first boat too. so one of you guys has to buy one. c'mon, after all ive done for you ;D PoorBoy himself

The 'lake' should be interesting... and challenging in a way too for the guys working that method. Don't know if I'll get a chance to see it or not. Depends on the crowds (or not). If it's busy, I'll have to hope someone else can give a review here.
Sounds like seminars will be Wayne, me, Dave Misaras and Alex Esselink this year.
I can't buy a boat from you, but maybe Alex will... or one of the other guys...

Did someone say "ULITMATE FISHING SHOW"? I'll be there! I just hope it's better than the ultimate fishing show they had in GR several years ago. I went to that, and, no kidding, there is more fishing stuff in my garage even when I am gone fishing than was at that whole show.

In case you haven't seen, the Lake St. Clair Legend - Muskie Bob Brunner is giving away a free guided trip with him this year on St. Clair in a drawing to those present at his Friday seminar at the Ultimate Fishing Show in Novi.
I believe the seminar time is 5PM on Stage A on Friday Jan 14th.
Wayne has his smallmouth seminar at 7PM on Stage B on Friday.

For anyone who has never seen the 'Legend' in action i highly recommend sitting in on his seminar. It is truly one of the better fishing seminars i have seen. Even if you are not a muskie fisherman or do not plan to ever muskie fish, it is still a very enjoyable seminar. plus, if you fish st clair you will eventually hook into a muskie. Bob will explain how to properly handle the fish to return it unharmed to the water. he also covers a little bit of bass fishing. he has some amazing stories and pictures of smallmouth. Also, if you can make Wayne Carpenters Combat Fishing Seminar, i would also highly recommend this as well. I still have the notes i took from the first seminar i seen with Wayne, Dan, and Dave Misaris and i honeslty walked away from the seminar with a totally different outlook on fishing LSC. And the tips payed off the next spring. I was actually catchng fish at least 3 to 1 from the previous season. Excellent information source for Lake St Clair. I havent missed one since. And of course, if you have time after all the sweet seminars, stop by Compass Pointe and say hi. oh, and buy a new Triton.......if you want ;D PoorBoy himself

You guys all have fun at the show on Friday while I'm at work pretending I care about medical data for the day...
Matt/MBell, that's a great idea about the red hook jigs. We haven't discussed it so I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised if he's thought about it. I'll check with him and let you know.

Wether you muskie fish or not, stop by and check out Bob Brunner's seminar(s). He's an incredible guy with an incredible amount of knowledge on St. Clair. And if he's giving away a free guided trip on Clair?! Holy crap, that's worth the price of admission!
I'm planning on stopping by either Thursday or Friday depending on my work schedule and maybe one full day on Saturday or Sunday. What better way to beat the winter blues than spending time surrounded by new boats, pros and tackle!

Talked to the 'man' Wayne about the red hooks. No red hooks this year. Guess we'll have to work on him a little. I'm starting to get into those darn red hooks too. More stuff to buy.
Wish money did grow on trees and I had a bunch in the back yard.
It's getting close now.
Looks like I'll be hanging around part of Saturday. I've been invited to sit with the NBAA guys at their 1PM meeting and give an update on the season. Of course anyone who wants to (makes the mistake of) ask me when you catch me in the aisle and I'll talk about the season...
I may spend a little time at the NBAA area getting petition signatures too since Jim Sprague has been gracious enough to offer.
I'll do some wandering too as long as Wayne and D&R Sports have plenty of coverage. See you all there.
