I might be late on this, but have not seen anything posted on it yet so here we go. A recent short article in the Dock Talk section of the BassFan.com website recognizes the efforts and accomplishments of Mr Kimmel involving the proposed season change and new 'drop shot' regulations. Its nice to see one of our own getting the credit he deserves. Way to go Lt. Dan. www.bassfan.com/docktalk.asp?archive=cscroll down to 'Good news in Michigan' PoorBoy himself

It was the highlight of my otherwise boring work day to get call from Jon Storm of Bassfan.com to talk about the changes in Michigan. I'd rather talk about fishing than work any day. Super nice guy. Bassfan has mentioned our situation in the past which put some national pressure on the MDNR. I thanked him as I've tried to thank a number of outdoor writers who had a definite impact on the result of our process.
I know I forget but the writers I remember right now are (in no particular order) Jim Bedford, Bob Gwizdz, Kevin Elliott, Eric Sharp, Peter Salinas, Jon Storm, Ron St. Germain, Bill Parker, Louie Stout and some of the writers at BASS. If I forgot someone and they find out, I hope they don't take it personally.
The pen really is mightier than the sword.
