I was up early this morning and an older edition of Basscenter was on (not sure if it was from this past Saturday or not, I was sleeping in my deer blind ;D) they did a story on KVD and his love for smallmouth, he outlined his top 10 favorite (and in his opinion best) smallmouth fisheries in the country.
#7 Traverse City, #5 Lake Erie, #4 Detroit River, and #1 Lake St. Clair. mixed in there was Lake Champlain and 3 Rivers, PA (short fish fiesta!) Its good to have a local voice like KVD to help the country take notice of what we have in our own back yard. The Erie, Detroit River, Clair corridor is exceptional, it won't be long until another major tournament land there.
I was posting on a board out of southern California a couple of weeks ago and there were guys talking (and asking when they saw I was from Michigan) about the Detroit River and St. Clair, I was again proud to be from the "Mit"!
