Some of you may find this very interesting - the popular Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail has finally arived in Michigan. They'll be a west side circuit for the 2005 bass season, but are already looking to expand to the east side next season. For now, here's the 2005 schedule provided by director Tim Van Polen (and old friend of mine from a federation state team about 15 years ago): Jun 18 Muskegon Lake Fisherman's Landing Jul 16 Grand River Riverside Park Jul 30 White Lake Municipal Ramp Aug 13 Hardy Pond County Park Sep 3 Grand River Riverside Park[/size] $135 per team entry fee. 1st place is $1,040 with 50 boats, and would pay back 10 places + 2 big fish $300/$200. They have an annual $35 membership per person; $50 per family; or $20 Associate - only full membership or family membership allows eligibility to compete in the tournaments. There are 5 regional championships and a no entry fee national championship. Each regional has a Triton 186 awarded. The national championship gives away a Triton 20X. For more info and entry applications, contact: Director: Tim Van Polen (616) 638-87542980 2980 21st St Hopkins MI 49328 timvp@wmis.net Any of you east side guys who think you might want to be involved in running an east side Fishers of Men circuit in 2006, please contact Tim. He is actively looking for next year.

I have been informed by a close friend of mine that the Michigan eastern division is a done deal for 06. He is already picking the lakes with the input of a few people, but would like to get a feel from everyone who may be interested to put together a dream schedule. The debate is to have it on the big water or host them on some of the bigger inland bodies. He has the whole eastern half of Michigan at his disposal so fire off some of your suggestions. The only for sures he is leaning for at this time is St.Clair and Wixom lake. Any input would be helpful so he can make this circuit as successful as possible. Fishon
