Wayne Carpenter and Combat Fishing rewarded two State Championship competitors in the 2005 Combat Fishing Challenge this year at the Michigan BASS federation's Lake St. Clair State Championship this September 9-10. "Combat Fishing Subscribers who registered at the State Championship meeting were eligible for a $100 dollar a day bounty for the top weight. This bounty rewarded consistency and was a way for me to say thank you to the many subscribers who have helped make the Combat Bass Fishing newsletter a must-have tool for serious bass anglers," stated Wayne Carpenter. | Day one winner of the $100 bounty was none other than Bill McElroy of Scales and Tales fame with 15 lbs. |
Day two bounty winner was Jeff Fellows who pulled out 13.30 lbs for the prize. | |
"Sponsoring the Federation State Championship was a lot of fun this year," said Wayne. "Finally, I had a chance to do the $100 per day bounty in a tournament to reward the Combat Fishing subscribers who help to make this business possible. Watching everyone compete, then being able to share the stage with both Bill McElroy and Jeff Fellows was a real priviledge."For more good Combat Fishing news from the 2005 federation state championship, check out this thread: 2005 Federation State Champion Credits No Secrets Volume 1.
