I'm coming from the East Side. I'd like to come out on Friday with my camper and spend the night so it doesn't have to be such an early morning on Saturday. Anyone know of a good place to camp near the lake? A place with water and electric would be preferable.

The lake is Lake Ovid its in Sleepy Hollow State park. When you drive around the lake the camp enterance is on the left hand side.
I was planning on coming down Thursday night and camping with the wife and kids. I will be fishing Friday for as long as the wife will let me.
I will have a black Chevy Tahoe blazer with a Triton boat.

One nice thing about the lake is you can camp right on the east side at the State Park campground.

Cool. I didn't know you could camp at the park we're launching from. That'll make things convenient. CWINSIII, I'll keep an eye out for ya. I'll be there sometime Friday with a blue Chevy truck with a camper on top and a red Basscat on the back. Tom

Yes its convenient the only thing, I dont like is its 5-6 miles around the lake at 25mph. I wish they would have had another road around the west side also. They also have a night enterance I'll have to check if they are using it or not that makes the drive a lot shorter if your coming off price rd.
