I was wondering if anyone here fishes the Bay. I have heard they get huge smallies near the spawn. Can anyone give me an idea when is a good time to shoot for?. Any help at all would be appreciated.

from now to the end of June is a great time on Traverse Bay. the fish should be on beds. Cover a lot of water when you find one bed you will find a bunch.

Hey Andy, thanks for the help. I should have asked in the original post which one of the two bays is better. It probably depends on the wind but if you got time to answer that quick question it would save me a ton of time on the water. Thanks again.

Everybody I know pretty much fishes the East Bay. I've only been in West Bay once and didn't find any bass that day, but I haven't fished GT Bay much yet. BIG bass up there. We'll see again this fall at the State Championship out of Charleviox barring bad weather.
