Regarding the insurance, I have fished that circuit for two years now and have never been asked to show proof of insurance. They do have you sign a waiver stating that you have at least $100,000 policy on your boat. It still would not be a bad idea to have some kind of documentation indicating that you have the insurance, but if not I have never seen it being an issue with anyone there.

Thanks for the info,I've never had a tournament ask to see proof before but wanted to be sure. I just moved so finding that type of stuff is a pain. Thanks for the directions. -Matt

Anybody doing top bass on Houghton Lk on Aug 6 beware that is the same weekend as Bud Bash. I was up there two weeks ago and they said there will be between 1000 and 3000 boats on the lake from Fri the 5th till Sun the 7th and they said most of them will be drunk. The locals won't even stay in town from what I was told.

yeah, Bud Bash rivals tip up town for people...accept they will all be zooming around on boats and jet skis!! they get together on a couple of the sand bars and everybody ties together then party, party, party..
be careful up there..its the others you have to worry about.
