Blakstr1- I am in the Alpena bass club. I won't be fishing the long lake tournament however (fourwheeling trip up in the UP that weekend) Will you be fishing any other ABC tournaments and if so do you think you would need a partner? P.S. Do you ever fish Fletcher Floodwaters much? I havent but will be sometime before the august tournament there.

i'm not really sure about the schedule of any other open tournaments put on by ABC. I haven't been on Fletchers too much but I've got a couple GPS spots. I almost bought John Matthews Nitro (he's in ABC) but I bought my Champion instead.
If there are any other opens you are looking at up there let me know, I might be interested if I have any opening in my schedule. My bass club is fishing Grand the same weekend you guys are.. my buddy caught 33 out on Grand yesterday....believe in the single tail grub on Grand.

Anyways i guess there is a tournament that Jacks Landing puts on fished at Fletchers it is June 25. Im am pretty sure it is an open. If you ever need anyone to fish with let me know. I can almost always make time.

Grandbass, I went over to Webber Dam Saturday. More boats there than I expected to see. I thought the fishing was pretty slow, but I admit I've only fished there 3 or 4 time ever and not for the past couple of seasons. (Running that place makes me nervous.)
Was wondering what other Lansing tournament you are aware of - evening and/or River Rats - in the next couple of months? Evening tournaments are a particular interest of a friend of mine. I haven't heard of anything specific with some of the old organizers out of the picture.

Dan
My fishing partner from Lansing is running division 58 NBAA on Tuesday nights from 6-9pm. He also fishes the River Rats and can get you one of the scedules. He can give you the Directors number also, they are a group of very nice people to fish with. You can get his number from NBAA's site or let me know and I will email it to you.

Its scary down there but once you learn it you can get almost to the portland dam. I heard there is a open at Webber on memorial day??? Anybody know if this is true? This is Grand Bass Clubs Schedule for the year. I was wondering about the proof of insurance too. My friends have talked me into fishing the Houghton Lake one. I won't be at Saginaw Bay (I hope the wind doesn't howl for you), but Hoyles is easy to get to.
Go up M-13 (or exit 173 from I-75 and head straight East) and turn right at the light in Linwood on Linwood Rd.
When you almost can't go any farther without getting wet in the Bay itself, Hoyles will be on the right down Linwood Beach Dr.

Clare, I just got my latest NBAA schedule in the mail today but haven't looked yet. Is 58 the Webber Dam division that Grandbass is talking about? I'll have to give your friend a call about the River Rats latest schedule.

Are the Grand Bass club tournaments opens, or members only? Is this different than the River Rats? Wish I'd have known you'd be out there, I'd have swung by and said hi. I'll be at Houghton the next two weekends. I don't know anything about a Memorial Day open on Webber. I'm a little leery about having tournaments on major holidays, but at least Webber is kind of remote. It was pretty crowded comparitively speaking the other day.
