There's a couple of us on here who've fished the ABA. Which division(s) do you plan on fishing?

Plan on trying the east side. Would like to do St. Clair never been there. There are a couple on lakes that are not to far from home that I know Lobdell and Pohnema (sp) fished them a few times. Really want to get to know something about St. Clair before I take my boat over there.

They caught some big sacks and big fish last year on St. Clair in the ABA. Maybe you'll get to fish with PoorBoy...

Stackenem, if you really want to learn a lot about St. Clair in a hurry, I highly recommend subscribing to Wayne Carpenter's Combat Fishing Newletter. combat-bassfishing.com/ He offers tons of great info including GPS points which can be invaluable for a newbie to St. Clair. I fished St. Clair for years going on "recommedations" from people on where to fish. Fishing reports are always very vague and with a big body of water like St. Clair you need more specific info if you're going to do well out there. Basically I struggled to do well on vague info such as "fish the mile roads". You'll hear stuff like that a lot. Does it help on this big body of water? NO. I've been putting the Combat Fishing stuff to use for a couple of seasons now and my catch rates and consistency have skyrocketed. The moral of the story.. the info really works. If you ever want to get out there, I'd be happy to spend an afternoon with ya. I remember meeting you at the DK Open.
