I just got back from the better part of 8 days in the beautiful North country. Great reports UAW. Lot's of other good posts.
Thanks for being an incredibly easy board of anglers. I knew I didn't have to worry about any wild posts or bad words.
I'll have a few photos from the trip along with some reports I'll post over the next few days as I catch up. It was a lot of fun again with hot weather, cold weather, thunderstorms, WIND and some BIG bass anyway (along with some pike, perch, walleye, musky and one sturgeon).
A friend got an 8-2 on a nearby lake to where we stayed, and I heard a report on the radio as I was pulling out for the drive home that another in our group had just landed one 'much bigger' than a 6.30 he'd caught earlier in the week. I told him I was really whacking them today on a flashy spinnerbait (I didn't want to leave - broke two spinnerbaits - one on a 'Polaris' toad smallie and one on a medium muskie/pike/steelhead creature [wiggling and rolling too fast to determine] - lost the two real big smallies I had on, but still landed 2 over 4, 4 over 3 1/2 and a bunch of solid keepers anyway). He supposedly switched and whacked a toad! May have been a fish story to make me feel even worse for leaving...
Almost everyone got several over 5 pounds and about half of us got at least one over 6 this week. It was challenging at times with the weather swings and a very quick 8 to 10 degree drop in water temps. But that's fall fishing in Michigan.

Looking forward to the pict's and reports Dan.
The week was very quiet, I thought a lot of guy's went deer hunting.
I've been out trying to get some Salmon for the freezer.
I need to get back to the bass before, I have to break ice off the lake.

I wondered if you enjoyed the hot spell. I was w**king and sweating my butt off. Much rather would've been fishing.

Thanks Dan. I will post a report whenever I do go. I didn't all summer because I had so much trouble with the activation code. It was very frustrating. But now that I am back, I will report all my fishing escapades and let the other members know where I went and how I did.
