Anybody been out on the Bay yet this year? Believe it or not, I live in Saginaw and have not been out there yet. I have a tournament there this summer and I am looking for some tips on where to start looking. I am launching out of Au Gres this friday and heading out to the Charities. What pattern will they be in out there? Still spawning I hope! Thanks.

They've been on beds already. May still be some bedding going on for a couple more weeks. Probably questionable after that, but rock points and bars near spawning areas will still be good.

Was out there two weekends ago, the females were gone just males guarding nests. They should be heavy into the post spawn by now. I was out there last weekend and went to other areas because of that. The week before opening day, the females were shallow but they are gone now. My guess would be that the fish still on beds are little. Try something closer to lake huron if the weather permits, they are just starting to bed on the big lake. Lake huron jumped 16 degrees last week in an area I'm fishing, the bass came up with that spike in temp. Good Luck!

I have to get back out there soon, I have a tournament coming up in late July. I need a close to shore pattern in case the wind blows, but I plan on heading for the Charities for sure.

I can answer that for savage921. Great Lakes Shores Marina. At the end og Sagatoo(sp?) Rd. Does anyone know of any water depth problems getting out from there?

Yeah, I heard it is too shallow to launch a big wallerin' Triton, guess you'll have to skip this one. . . .

Just run straight out for a ways. A sharp left or right to early could be expensive up there.

Hey Dan, or anybody, Do you know the best way to get to the Great lakes shore Marina? I was given directions to take Worth rd(from m-13), to State Rd. to Sagatoo. Can't you just take Sagatoo al the way from m-13? Also, I think there is a bunch of construction on m-13.

You can take I-75 and get off at M-61 in Standish. Then go back south to Worth or I believe you can stay on M-61 (Pine River Rd) thru town right to State Rd and turn south a short ways. Great Lakes Shores Marina Web map
