Any of you guys had any success with larger size worms? You hear all of these fellas down south getting some hogs on the larger worms. I guess I was wondering if it would pay off up north here, so I picked up a pack of Berkley's 10 in. power worms the other day. I figured I would give it them a try. I'm thinkin that I will probably sacrifice the number of bites, but perhaps catch a few quality fish 4+ lbs and up.

a few years back i was fishing with a friend of mine who has since passed away. he decided to throw a 10" power worm with a 1/16 oz bullet weight. i made fun of him for a little while. then he hooked into the biggest dang bass i have ever seen in michigan. if i had to guess i would say it was 10 lbs, but in reality it was probably closer to 7 or 8. but in all honesty, it was at least 7 lbs. it ended up coming off, but i was sold after that. no harm in trying it. I was in a club tournament a long time ago (probably back before MuskieBobSr retired) and we were fishing that small lake off Wamplers catching subkeeper after subkeeper.
My team partner pulled out a 11" worm saying he was sick of catching all the dinks and would rather finished the day without any more bites than catch more dinks. He tossed out the first cast. Set the hook! And flipped in an 8" largemouth bass!!!
I almost fell out of the boat laughing (this is a guy who would cut off whatever lure he caught a pike on and throw it in the lake - no matter how new and/or expensive).
Still, I believe in the big bait - big fish theory since it has worked so many times.
