My wife picked up this product by Mr. Clean called "magic erasers", it's just a white sponge. Besides cleaning everything from crayons on couches to spagetti sauce on a white carpet, it does wonders on cork rods. Just put a little water on it and it pulls all the dirt out of the handles.
The wife was a little mad when she seen me grab one of those, she thought i was gonna clean something in the house!! ;D Yea right!
